How to prepare for NEET 2022 in 50 days flat
I will not waste your time talking about what is NEET 2022; what is examination pattern; what is paper pattern, blah, blah, blah ….. . You are already intelligent student and have that much knowledge, that’s why you are on my blog.
Coming to the point… straight forward…
1. Make your Study Plan (umm…. may be not, as I have done it for you)
Timetable is a super important tool to keep track of your preparation.
Without a timetable, you cannot keep track of your progress and will almost certainly lose track of your preparation, and then will get demotivated.
As an expert in education counselling, my humble advice… if you can’t prepare a timetable yourself, use the one prepared by me (link given at the end of this blog post).
Now very important point which can make you stand much above others…
You must identify the topics you don’t need to study and also the topics you need to skip.
99% students do not qualify NEET just because they try to cover everything in a very limited time-period.
Remember, you cannot ( I mean CANNOT ) cover entire syllabus in around 2 months after your board exams.
If you want to increase you chances in NEET, make sure that you strike-off the topics which
- you already have command on
- you are too weak and cannot strengthen your concepts in short span of time
- are not important
2. Notes Preparation ( A BIG NO )
This is an important part of NEET 2022 preparation.
But if you are preparing for NEET exam in short span of time, then DO NOT prepare notes by yourself.
Finalise a good book (only 1 book per subject) and start your study as soon as possible.
The books must not be reference books like Modern ABC or Pradeep. You will NOT be able to complete the syllabus from exhaustive books. Choose the books logically.
3. Attempt 20 Mock Tests
When you attempt mock tests then
- you can get a feel of the type of questions asked in the exam.
- you can identify your weak points and can work to strengthen the related topics.
- you are better prepared for the exam (and beat it).
4. Attempt Previous Year Question Papers
When you attempt previous year papers then
- you can get a feel of the real examination.
- you have an idea of possible question that may be asked in NEET exam.
- you can get the idea about how to get correct answer by different techniques.
- you will be more confident while appearing in real examination.
5. Avoid Out of syllabus videos created by youtubers
YouTube is flooded by videos on topics which have nothing to do with NEET.
Many YouTubers are M. Sc. (or even Ph. D.) in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. They often create videos on M. Sc. topics, which you think are very important as your teacher or tutor did not talk about that.
My sincere advice: DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON SUCH VIDEOS.
Refrain from all such videos where you observe something exceptional being explained. Do refer to the syllabus of NEET before you watch such videos.
6. Never try to be master of few topics
If you spend a lot of time on one part of the syllabus, there are high chances that you will not be able to complete the syllabus.
First try to complete the syllabus (as per your Study Plan prepared in step 1) and then you can spend more time on specific topics as per your need.
7. Refer to multiple books, YouTube and internet to kill your chances of success in NEET
This is a warning…
If you spend (waste) your time on getting information from multiple sources for the same topic, you will not be able to complete the syllabus. If you do so, you will actually dig the road just ahead of you, and then find yourself trapped in it.
So, what you need to do?
Finalise single reference/text book per subject. If you are able to finish that book then consult whatever other source you want to.
